Heart of A King

He was not afraid to touch their dirt, their sin, and their despair

Jesus poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. John 13:5

Jesus is the King of Kings yet he took on the form of the lowliest of all servants. He stooped low in humility and washed the feet of his disciples. This included Judas whom he knew would soon betray him with a kiss.

In a world of power struggles, he gave us this example of true greatness. He rose from the table and cleaned the feet of those he loved. He was not afraid to touch; their dirt, their sin, and their despair. His loving hands washed away all the effects of living in a fallen world.

In like manner, he yearns to touch your soul with grace that helps in time of need. The truth remains…

Jesus loves You. No matter what. He loves You.
