I yielded to a quiet prompting

Sing to me.

So I did.

Gently. Awkwardly. Anything but perfect.

Yet authentically from my heart to his

I leaned into him. He leaned into me.

Our songs joined. Our hearts united.

We harmonized.

We danced.

Heaven and earth met together

Through a simple invitation

To sing
