What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction is a safe and confidential way to process wherever you are in your spiritual journey.
It is a safe place when life hits the fan and things fly in a bazillion directions. You are left shaken to the core and with more questions than answers; in other words, you are experiencing a faith crisis.
It is helpful for seasons when you feel numb and alone in the pew, even though you are committed in faith.
It is also good when your faith is thriving and you want to continue growing in relationship with God, self, and others.
Spiritual Direction is sacred space to have conversational and holy listening.
Spiritual Direction verses Clinical Counseling
My Spiritual Direction Approach
I provide a safe place for women to process questions, desires, concerns, etc., while acknowledging the Holy Spirit as comforter, helper, strengthener, and guide. My goal is not to give pat answers, but rather to be with you in such a way that you discover God’s presence in ordinary life. I offer prayer, empathy, Scripture meditations, and helpful resources to assist in spiritual formation.
My counseling training informs the care I give, but it is not what I offer at this time.
Clinical Counseling
Clinical Counseling typically provides psychological assessments and diagnosis in order to resolve root issues and symptoms while promoting wholeness. The aim of this is to focus on symptoms that are creating dysfunction in one’s everyday life, with implementation of solutions to help resolve those issues. I refer to clinical counselors in the area if you are looking for more specialized support for mental health symptoms with hopes to alleviate them.
Appointment Information
Cost is $70 and paid prior to your session.
Appointments are typically monthly and 45-50 minutes long by Zoom.

Training
I am a member of the Christ-centered Spiritual Directors Association and a graduate of The Soul Shepherding Institute with a certificate in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. The training model is Christ centered and psychologically informed.
