When Human Strength is Not Enough

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you. I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:1-2

Hear my cry, O God.

King David brought his tears to God. It was a desperate season when human strength was not enough. His overwhelmed heart needed The One who is rock solid, immovable, unshakable and secure. David needed steady footing when the rug had been pulled out from beneath his feet. The One who is higher in wisdom, power and hope answered. The One who is more than enough overwhelmed David’s overwhelmed heart with steadfast love. David responded in verse 8, I will ever sing in praise of your name and will fulfill my vows day after day.

The Lord loves you as much as King David. Will you bring Him the cries of your heart? He wants to help.
