Traveling Towards Somewhere

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Hebrews 11:8

I bet Abraham looked foolish! All he had was a promise, but that promise proved more than enough to get him where he needed to be when he needed to be there. His walk of faith was laden with times of doubt and mistakes. Even so! The Lord remained ever faithful, ever present, all powerful, and all knowing. Thank God!

I thought of our opening Scripture today as I looked through an old journal entry that I wrote during a challenging and scary season of transition. It is easy to look back now and see the footprints of God in my journey. At the time, though, his active guiding presence was difficult to perceive. My walk of faith, like Abraham, required me to leave my familiar places in order to travel towards The Land of Somewhere, when I had no idea where Somewhere was, let alone how to get there.

Step by step I went. Step by step I go. Step by step I will continue to go. But never alone. Always with Him.

God has been faithful indeed ♡

This walk of faith is the adventure of a lifetime!

Here is what I wrote in my journal.

Dearest Reader, are you in a similar season? If so, you are in good company. It took courage for Abraham to move forward to his promised land that was Somewhere, when he did not know where Somewhere was. Even so, God got Abraham there. Even so, our Lord is with you. Every.Step.Of.The.Way

Please allow your heart to relax. Place your concerns into God’s loving hands as you listen to the song below. Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)

.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
— 2 Corinthians 4:18
