Give worries

Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. Proverbs 12:25 NLT

Years ago, I made a decision that I would, Stop Worrying! Before the day was over, I was worrying about whether I could, Stop Worrying! Then I worried because I was worrying about worrying. It was awful! The more I focused on worry, the heavier it weighed on me. The heavier it weighed on me, the more weighed down I felt. Then I got an encouraging word that cheered my heart. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 NLT Instead of worrying about whether I could stop worrying, I could do something better. I could give my worries and cares to God. He never intended me to carry them alone. He wanted to ease my burdens with the comfort of his presence.

Dear Reader, are you weighed down with cares that burden your soul? If so, consider giving those burdens to the Lord. Why? Because he cares… for you!
