Haiku with Friends

It was one of those days when I needed a pick me up. Since I enjoy writing, I invited friends on Facebook to write and share a Haiku about their favorite season. The entries were so good that I wanted to include them in this blogpost.

In case you’re wondering what a Haiku is, it is a Japanese form of poetry that often involves a response to nature. Typically, the first line has five syllables. The second has seven syllables. The third has five syllables. Words do not have to rhyme. There is more to it for those who want to delve deeper. This is my preferred and simplified explanation.

A special thanks to each person who gave me permission to share their Haiku. All rights belong to the corresponding author.

I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I did. Here goes…
